Job Title: Millwright Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Millwright Mechanics to perform 100% mechanical maintenance on various industrial machinery. You will be responsible for maintaining powerhouse equipment, compressors, conveyors, palletizing equipment, belts, fans, blowers, pumps, furnaces, air compressors, and vacuum pumps. This role also involves repairing hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, valves, bearings, and other secondary equipment. The work will be conducted both indoors (75%) and outdoors (25%), including minor welding and fabrication tasks. Additionally, you will utilize manual mills and lathes to machine parts, read blueprints, perform general preventative maintenance, and use hand and power tools. You should also be prepared to perform maintenance repairs at heights using a scissor lift or on the roof of the building.

Responsibilities

• Perform 100% mechanical maintenance on various industrial machinery

• Maintain powerhouse equipment, compressors, conveyors, palletizing equipment, belts, fans, blowers, pumps, furnaces, air compressors, and vacuum pumps

• Repair hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, valves, bearings, and other secondary equipment

• Conduct minor welding and fabrication tasks

• Use manual mills and lathes to machine parts

• Read blueprints and schematics

• Perform maintenance repairs at heights using a scissor lift or on the roof of the building

• Conduct general preventative maintenance on equipment

• Utilize hand and power tools

• Perform general shop clean-up duties

Essential Skills

• Journeyman card, Associate degree, or 5+ years of industrial mechanic experience

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Strong work ethic and ability to stay busy

• Possession of own tools (company tool box provided)

• Comfortable working at heights up to 70ft

• High school diploma or GED

Overtime is compensated at 1.5x after 8 hours in a day and double time on Sundays and after 12 hours in a day.

Work Environment

The schedule involves working different crews with corresponding days off. Shift hours are A=7a to 3p, B=3p to 11p, and C=11p to 7a. Shift premiums are provided: 30 cents for the second shift and 35 cents for the third shift. The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor tasks, and you will be safely secured when working at heights.

The pay range for this position is $60882.00 - $60882.00/yr.
