Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

We are seeking a General Labor/Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will physically move circular stamped out blanks from a conveyor line and place them onto a skid. You will also operate a forklift to move skids. These blanks range from 12lbs to 15lbs each and will be stacked three at a time on skids. You will work in a team of 3-4 to manage this process. Additional duties include assisting in loading steel coils onto machines, die setting, cutting bands, straightening skids, cleaning the area, and various other tasks. Training on operating a propane forklift and overhead crane will be provided once hired.

Responsibilities

  • Physically move circular stamped out blanks from a conveyor line to skids.

  • Operate a forklift to move skids.

  • Stack blanks three at a time on skids.

  • Assist in loading steel coils onto machines.

  • Help place dies into stamping press.

  • Perform die setting and cut bands.

  • Straighten skids and clean the area.

  • Perform various other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to lift 45-50lbs consistently throughout the day.

  • Ability to stand on feet for 8 hours a day.

  • At least 6 months of manufacturing experience.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in general labor and material handling.

  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.

  • Willingness to learn forklift and overhead crane operation.

Work Environment

The work environment involves stamping automotive blanks for car and machinery parts. The position is Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with very minimal overtime. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour, with increases for forklift and crane certification. Employees must wear steel-toed shoes, jeans, and potentially long sleeves.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TOLEDO, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
