ProMedica Health System IT Analyst III - ITS Security System Services - Full Time - Days - Remote in Toledo, Ohio
Working under a Director of Information Security and with the Information Security team as a whole to proactively develop policies, processes, and procedures related to a comprehensive security program while assessing threats to ProMedica’s information technology resources and data.
The Information Security Analyst ensures compliance with IT security policies, uses security models and profiles, reviews security logs for suspicious activities, investigates security incidents, updates and documents security controls, and performs risk assessments. The Information Security Analyst ensures that all security components are implemented in accordance with the compliance guidelines established by ProMedica management and regulatory policies and laws.
With management guidance and oversight, the Information Security Analyst evaluates products and procedures to enhance security of the data environment. Educates all employees, managers and stakeholders about the importance of IT Security and works to ensure workforce awareness of security policies and practices. Ensures compliance with IT and Corporate Security policies when new applications are considered. Serves in an advisory role for internal software development projects or changes to the technical or application infrastructure. Identifies, recommends and utilizes management and administrative tools to create IT Security baselines, monitor daily activities, and flag suspicious events. This position requires excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. The Analyst must be available for rotational, on-call 24x7 support.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs tasks related to the day-to-day operations of his/her group including user provisioning/deprovisioning, ongoing monitoring, execution of security assessments, and data collection efforts needed for eDiscovery as well as internal and external audits.
Recommends changes to improve standards, procedures and operating methodologies to ensure the integrity, consistency, security, quality and performance of each technology across the organization. Areas of focus are Identity, Access Management, Group Policy, System Architecture, as well as the standard five tenants of any Security Department: Identify, Prevent, Detect, Respond, and Recover
Responsible for the coordination and execution of security investigations related to security events as well as internal and external customer complaints.
Demonstrates a high level of problem solving techniques to identify issues and takes corrective action steps to resolve.
Demonstrates a knowledge of all business units supported by his/her group, and of the standard tools they use.
Demonstrates working knowledge for all ProMedica policies, procedures, technology, and applications, within his/her group’s area of responsibility to ensure user security and productivity.
Proactively looks to identify emergent risks impacting information assets within the organization and recommend mitigating strategies.
Provides effective written and verbal communication to supervisor and peers related to the status of day-to-day operations, new initiatives and issues, in accordance with the format and time frames determined by the Manager.
Strong customer service skills to be able to assist customers, vendors and staff through the enrollment, and use of security technologies as well as to explain the “why” behind system policies and end-user steps needed to fully recover from various security events.
This position can be worked remote. Education: Bachelors Skills: • Foundational knowledge of desktop, network, and application technologies. Must have strong technical and analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively. • Foundational knowledge of information security and risk management concepts + strong documentation skills • Advanced knowledge of information security concepts and ability to lead projects and new initiatives . Salary Range: $57,200 - $139,256
