ProMedica Health System Intern - Internal Audit - Days in Toledo, Ohio
Assists in evaluating the activities of the system across all entities as a service to the board of trustees and all levels of management.
Functional Responsibilities
- Assists in documentation of testing comprehensive, practice audit programs for evaluation of assigned areas. Assists in the development of formal audit reports.
- Ensures compliance with acceptable audit standards, plans and schedules.
- Meets with Sr. Auditor(s) throughout audit process to ensure accurate understanding of area/function audited and ensure regular communication with management.
- Assists with assessments and reports on all control weaknesses and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Prepares detailed workpapers to support completion of the audit program and any findings identified. Participates in pre- & post-audit meetings as requested and provides analytical support of issues presented. Areas of audit include but are not limited to financial, construction, operational, and IT.
- Uses computer-assigned auditing techniques where appropriate.
- Maintains current knowledge of new developments relating to accounting, auditing, IT and other matters.
- Perform special reviews as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Must be working towards a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in accounting, business related area, or Information Technology. Minimum of five (5) semesters or ten (10) quarters of coursework previously completed. Must be able to move about facility and between workstations. Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must be proficient with office and automation software. Must be able to occasionally move lightweight materials. The above list of duties is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by the incumbent.
