Robert Half Fiscal Manager in Toledo, Ohio

Description We are in search of a Fiscal Manager to join our team in Toledo, Ohio. This role involves overseeing the efficient and systematic management of the organization's financial affairs. The Fiscal Manager will be responsible for handling accounting responsibilities, auditing, budget planning, and maintaining financial reports.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily internal operations concerning accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

• Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer in the planning, coordination, and implementation of budgets, financial statements, and tax information.

• Function as an internal auditor of the organization's accounting records in line with accepted accounting principles and practices.

• Coordinate with external auditors on audits and implement their suggestions as directed by the Chief Executive Officer/Board Finance Committee.

• Manage the completion of payroll spreadsheets based on employee time with program service area(s) and grant funding, including general ledger entries.

• Handle the completion of grant spreadsheets to monitor expenses and balance of awards.

• Alert the Chief Executive Officer about any financial concerns regarding the day-to-day internal operations of the agency that may affect cash flow, budget variances, legal issues, or policy changes.

• Prepare monthly financial statements including statement of income and expense, balance sheet, and changes in financial status for presentation to the Finance Committee.

• Liaise with the agency’s Workmen’s Compensation administrative group regarding rates and changes.

• Facilitate communication between the agency and funding source regarding submission of proposed budgets, budget adjustments, and reports. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial management role

• Proficiency in accounting functions and auditing

• Experience with budget processes and financial forecasting

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

• Experience with bookkeeping and managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with managing general ledger and bank account reconciliation

• Experience in financial statement preparation

• Knowledge of non-profit accounting and grant accounting

• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
