Mission / Purpose of position

Propose to develop and implement Japan PR strategies in alignment with APAC and Global guidelines. Establishing and Handling all Public Relationship, Media, and Internal/external related communications and Events to enhance corporate/brand image and visibility. Develop a communication strategy to build brand and support business. Safeguard consistent brand image.

PR & Media Relations

Propose to develop PR strategy and plans according to APAC and Global Guidelines to build up a good corporate image. Propose and implement public relations programs that protect and enhance corporate/brand reputation and visibility. Develop, localize, and distribute regular press releases and increase Continental media coverage in Japan. Media monitoring. Issue/Crisis management to protect corporate image. Improve the issue/crisis management process.

Communication and Promotion Plan and Implementation

Play an active role in bridging global and regional communication ideas to achieve One Voice communications throughout the world. Develop communication strategy according to APAC and global guidelines. Ensure good communication and promotion campaigns execution to build brand and support sales performance. Safeguard consistent brand image throughout all marketing activities.

Campaigns and events

Organize and execute communication campaigns, fairs, and events in a professional way. Cooperate with sales team and customers for local communication marketing activities and performance monitoring. Support co-branding activities to enhance brand impact.

Literature and POP Development

Oversees the development of marketing and sales materials, including, but not limited to store package items, posters, sales kits, give away, or other promotional materials. Maintain and Develop Literature and POP materials for the local market and adherence to brand guidelines together with other marketing functions. To provide strategic foundation and creative direction to agencies to ensure innovation and efficiency.

Web Page Management

Maintain and update local web pages based on global structure. Create and implement new functions based on local market trends: Dealer locator, Bar code identification system, Tire professional bolg, etc. Improve website content and infrastructure to attract visitors’ browsing.

Online Communication

Develop and implement integrated online communication plans according to PR strategy to increase brand exposure online and create strong WOM. Leverage online campaigns to drive sales performance. Monitoring media and consumer voice online and managing issue/crisis. Propose and implement social media activities to have positive interactions with netizens.

Internal Communication

Communicating Corporate Global & APAC directions, progress, changes, issues, and successes, with related departments, through intranet, email, and newsletter to keep employees informed of and motivate staff to engage in. Assist HR team in employee events and other HRD programs.

Budget and Process Management

Propose an annual budget plan. Control and track related marketing budgets. Implement marketing activities in strict compliance with budget and company process. Adapt budget plan in case of change of business scenario.

BA in business or administration

Good in English and Japanese communication

Over 5 years experience in media PR and communications

Be able to travel independently

Vendor management experience with advanced PR management knowledge

Over 5 years experience in project or process management

Process experience of events management

Advanced experience in cooperation with external customers and vendors

Multi-international company working or cooperation experience
