Key job responsibilities
- Program Implementation and Optimization
• Execute and optimize security and loss prevention programs within established frameworks
• Implement tactical improvements based on data-driven insights
• Identify and implement efficiency gains in existing processes
- Project Management and Problem-Solving
• Manage security and loss prevention projects from initiation to completion
• Make informed decisions about handling or escalating complex issues
• Implement risk mitigation measures within scope of responsibility
• Balance time, quality, and resources to achieve program goals
• Track progress and resolve roadblocks to keep initiatives on track
- Stakeholder Management and Communication
• Collaborate with operations teams, HR, legal, and other internal partners
• Influence team priorities to meet security and loss prevention objectives
• Foster strong relationships to facilitate smooth program execution
• Provide clear updates on program progress, challenges, and outcomes
• Develop and deliver training materials on security best practices
• Prepare concise reports and presentations on program performance
A day in the life
As a Program Manager in Security and Loss Prevention, you'll play a crucial role in implementing and optimizing security and loss prevention programs within established frameworks across Japan's Amazon facilities. Working under the guidance of the Japan Senior Program Manager, who provides strategic direction and program scopes, you'll be responsible for tactical execution through effective collaboration with Japan Operations and Security and Loss Prevention Field stakeholders.
Your typical day might involve:
• Understanding and breaking down program/project scopes into actionable tasks
• Developing project plans within defined parameters
• Leading cross-functional meetings with JP SLP Field members and site operation teams
• Conducting site visits to gather operational insights for successful implementation
• Analyzing data to identify improvement opportunities within existing processes
• Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of initiatives
You'll operate within established frameworks to deliver tactical solutions that protect our employees, assets, and customers' packages. As a key executor of strategy, you'll translate program directives into detailed implementation plans, driving continuous improvement at the site and cluster level. This role offers growth opportunities to develop your strategic thinking while mastering tactical execution in Amazon's operations and security landscape.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2+ years of experience in security, loss prevention, program management, or a related field.
Fluency in both Japanese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
Experience in project management or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Amazon's operations or similar fast-paced logistics environments.
Experience in implementing and optimizing security or loss prevention programs.
Knowledge of relevant security technologies and loss prevention techniques.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Adaptability to work in an environment with some ambiguity and changing priorities.
