Amazon Senior Finance Manager, JP Stores Finance in Tokyo, Japan

We are hiring a Senior Finance Manager in JP Stores Finance to partner with teams across Japan Stores to support our ambitious goals to accelerate the growth of the business. In this role, you will lead with thought leadership and your team will support the business with financial planning, analysis, controllership and insights to enable data-driven decision making and long-term growth. If you are excited to work on challenging problems to unlock new experiences for the customers, partner with cross-functional teams to dive into complex problems, think big to influence important business decisions, and inspire and develop a strong team, this role is for you.

As Senior Finance Manager, you are expected to work with JP Stores leadership team as a thought partner and play a key role in supporting the growth of the business. In doing so, the individual will identify and implement processes to evaluate our investments feeding into long term business strategies. You will be responsible for supporting finance and business leadership in providing data driven insights to develop and execute financial strategies, helping to establish an appropriate framework of controls and key metrics, and building and leading a high performing finance team. This individual will have exceptional Finance and Accounting skills, strong leadership skills and should be a thought leader and be comfortable influencing business decisions with data.

A successful candidate will be skilled at partnering with stakeholders across the business and financial spectrum, juggling multiple deliverables, communicating clearly and concisely with leaders and peers. They will be comfortable thinking big and diving deep and be a proven cross-functional leader. Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in finance, accounting, economics, business or related field

  • 10+ years of work experience excluding internship periods

  • Strong track record of strategic business partnership

  • Experience with managing team and developing talent

  • Proficiency in analysis tools including Microsoft Excel and financial planning systems

  • Business English language proficiency (written and oral communication)

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA Preferred

  • Highly motivated, organized individual who is able to work effectively with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced, growing and ambiguous environment

  • Proven ability to manage a team including prioritization of diverse priorities

  • Experience with understanding complex process flows and driving process improvements

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills

  • Japanese communication skill
