Amazon Seller Acquisition Marketing Manager, JP Marketplace in Tokyo, Japan
Description
Do you want to challenge experiencing one of the biggest drivers of growth in Amazon Japan? We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Seller Acquisition Marketing Manager for JP Marketplace.
You will be responsible for increasing the launches of new sellers and driving the adoption of our seller products and programs through targeted marketing communications, optimizing open and conversion rates, and ensuring consistency with global branding guidelines across all messaging. A core aspect of your responsibilities will be implementing automated email nurturing mechanisms to boost new seller launches. Additionally, you will be constantly conducting A/B testing to refine our messaging and achieve the most effective seller onboarding communication approach.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as lead generation marketing teams and new seller account management teams, and external marketing partners. Your goal is to understand new sellers' needs, identify barriers to launching, and develop a clear communication strategy that automatically targets specific behaviors through a one-to-many approach.
This role will be measured through tracking and analyzing metrics related to awareness, launches, engagement and other key indicators to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement. You will be required to think analytically and problem-solve in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing multiple priorities. Effective cross-functional communication across the JP marketplace team is essential. Success in this role requires thriving in an ambiguous environment where you must create strategies and marketing action plans to generate demand and also develop/implement seamless seller communications to deliver outstanding experiences for sellers. Being hands-on, detail-oriented, and possessing relentlessly high standards are essential qualities for this position. Key job responsibilities
・Develop integrated marketing strategy and communication plans to effectively drive the launches of JP Marketplace seller and the adoptions of seller products and programs through timely, targeted outreach
・Gather and adapt best practices globally to streamline the process of bringing new sellers to our platform
・Ensure all seller email communications align with global guidelines
・Oversee all aspects of marketing campaigns: strategy development, documentation, planning, messaging, creative elements, content and design, launch, optimization, and reporting. Set goals and reporting to track metrics on seller conversion and identify areas for improvement.
・Develop marketing and communication strategies by partnering with sales, marketing, product, and other teams to create the optimal onboarding experience for new sellers.
・Prioritize and balance needs across seller experience, performance, and operational workload.
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels
Japanese (Fluent) and English (Business)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing external partners to develop marketing programs
Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives
