We work as one team across multiple regions, organizations, teams, and job functions. As a Sr Program Manager, your job will be to bring everyone together. You will define the program, establish goals and objectives, key metrics, workstreams, and implement the right mechanisms to track progress, identify risk, remove roadblocks, remove waste, and ensure the program stays focused on high priority initiatives, to deliver a payment experience that is best for our customers in Japan and all over the world.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define the program, objectives, key metrics

  • Create project plan of all workstreams

  • Manage RAID logs

  • Track/solve dependencies

  • Establish stakeholder management plan and escalation mechanisms

  • Proactively identify risks, communicate, and resolve vs waiting

  • Keep the program/teams focused on high priority/high impact work

  • Report on program status

  • Remove overlaps, waste, and simplify

A day in the life

As a Program Manager, you will continually ask yourself - Are we on track to deliver? Are there any risks in meeting milestones dates or planned timelines? Do we have the right mechanisms? Are we working on the right things (high priority items)? Are there any overlaps or inefficiencies? Are we working as one team?

Your day to day work will range from facilitating meetings, connecting with people, writing status reports, and many more. In addition to building and managing a program, the role of a PgM may include hands on execution of a project, initiative, feature, or a workstream.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Fluent Level in both English and Japanese
