Description
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Japan is looking for a world class Partner and Alliance Leader to join the Modernization Partner Team to lead the development and acceleration of routes to market for our Modernization Services Portfolio through and with AWS Partners. You will work with Partners and internal stakeholders to help them build market and sell offerings that help customers with moving workloads to the cloud. In this role, you will collaborate with a number of AWS internal teams including Partner Development Managers, Partner Sales, The Specialist Sales Organization, Service Teams, Solution Architects, sales, product, and marketing. Activities include building C-level relationships with our partners, constructing and managing joint get-to-market and go-to-market plans, and driving new integrations between Partners’ solutions and native services.
Key job responsibilities
Serve as a key member of the Partner Development team in helping to define and deliver the joint solution set and supporting collateral.
Set a strategic business development plan for target markets with assigned Partner management teams, and ensure alignment with the AWS strategic direction.
Manage and drive joint cloud sales engagements between partners and AWS sales teams.
Work with a targeted group of global, national, or regional systems integrator partners to define and execute high impact joint sales and go-to-market programs that promote cloud services on AWS.
Execute the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders.
Identify specific customer segments and industry verticals to approach with a joint value proposition for using AWS.
Work closely with the partner's customer base to ensure they are successful using AWS services, making sure they have the technical resources required.
Understand the technical requirements of our partners and work closely with the internal development team to guide the direction of our product offerings.
Prepare and give periodic business reviews to the AWS senior management team.
Ability to work with AWS partner solution architects to help assigned partners to define go to market solution offerings utilizing the AWS service portfolio.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience in business development, partner development, sales or alliances management
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience working within the enterprise software development industry is highly desired.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
