Amazon Online Marketing Manager (Contract) , eero in Tokyo, Japan

This position is for an 12-month Fixed Term Contract and will be based in Tokyo.

Wifi is the foundation of the modern home. Without it, nothing works. eero, an Amazon company, is the first company to deliver a whole- home WiFi experience using mesh technology, ensuring there isn't a home layout or connected device we can't handle. Fixing connectivity is, however, just the start. We are working on the building blocks of the smart home by designing our own hardware, enabling it with powerful software, and tying it all together to the cloud.

A home that anticipates our needs, takes care of us and our families, keeps us safe and healthy, and saves money and energy. eero is seeking a hands-on, highly-motivated and customer-obsessed online marketing professional. Someone with the

willingness to support a wide range of traffic-driving initiatives - Onsite merchandising, Email marketing, SEM, SEO, Content optimization through A/B testing etc.

The ideal candidate for this role will leverage strong quantitative skills, be comfortable dealing with significant ambiguity, have strong ownership, will work successfully across global teams, and have a good sense of metric-based decision making. You will need to be able to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment and communicate clearly and persuasively. You’ll be asked to think strategically while executing against your plans yourself. This person should be able to drive focus and excellence within the channels they own and should have the ability to present results to Senior Leadership.

Key job responsibilities

Plan, develop, and implement digital marketing initiatives. Manage campaign scheduling around key seasonal and promotional events.

Dive deep and analyze results against KPIs, always seeking ways to optimize. Own the end-to-end development and execution of onsite experience plans for new product launches. Run A/B testing experiments for customer facing onsite features.

An ideal internal candidate for this role would be someone who has both owned and operated marketing and vendor management experience at Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience with paid, owned, and earned digital marketing channels (i.e. email, onsite merchandising, etc.)

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to

  • completion

  • Language: Japanese (Native Level) and English (Business Level | TOEIC 850 or above)

  • Experience in copywriting and/localizing marketing content for Japanese audiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and

  • assess the efficacy of marketing programs

  • Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce,

  • etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation

  • Experience in e-commerce, online marketing, product management, or similar fields

  • High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage

  • multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

  • Superior verbal and written communications skills

  • Aptitude for being organized with flexibility and for delivering results in a fast-paced environment
