Nike Lead NDDC KPI Planner, Japan in Tokyo, Japan

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Lead Nike Direct Digital Commerce (NDDC) Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Planner as part of the Demand & Supply Management (DSM) organization to shape and refine Quarterly/ Monthly/ Daily forecast in collaboration with NDDC Merchandise Financial Planner and Finance and manage the performance of our direct-to-consumer digital businesses.

The DSM team partners with diverse functions across Nike globally to drive profitable, sustainable growth and inventory productivity for Nike and our partners.

You will utilize your analytical, storytelling and stakeholder management skills to shape E-commerce KPIs and align objectives across the company. A successful candidate demonstrates an understanding of the E-commerce sales funnel, data driven and is a strong communicator.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

You will work on leading KPI forecast discussions for all digital platforms, driving alignment of targets in partnership with the NDDC Merchandise Financial Planner, the NDDC Marketplace Leader, and the business team.

The role involves leveraging statistical KPI forecasts from the Global Data Science team to build daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue forecasts, shaping and optimizing these forecasts by incorporating strategic levers, platform launches, event date shifts, and scenario planning. You will weave business knowledge into the forecasts through cross-functional communication and alignment.

You will facilitate processes to reconcile cross-functional top-down and bottom-up inputs with actuals and drive analysis, scenario modeling for key retail seasonal moments, consumer events and analyze Risks & Opportunities (R&O) to ensure we are tracking against the forecast. Additionally, you will partner with Japan Marketing, Marketplace Unit, Supply Chain, Finance, Global Insights & Analytics, and Global Data Science teams to establish operational cadence and optimize forecasting processes by standardizing metrics, definitions, and calculations to drive accuracy and consistency in planning and reporting processes.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will be the point person for the Nike Direct Planning team within Japan DSM and report to Director, Nike Direct Planning. You will be working closely with Global and Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) Geography DSM partners, as well as multiple cross-functional partners across Japan Consumer x Marketplace, Finance, Marketplace Operations, Insights & Analytics, Supply Chain, Global Insights & Analytics, and Global Data Science teams.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Statistics or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in statistical modelling or forecasting in E-commerce, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry or retail industry.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills (in both English and Japanese).

  • Deep understanding of the E-commerce business funnel.

  • Ability to distill complex data into high level themes for internal executive audiences.

  • Foundational retail knowledge including inventory & retail sales metrics.

  • Process driven self-starter with demonstrated ability of identifying problem statements and driving change.

  • Experience using Excel (Pivot Tables, IF, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, Charts, etc.), BI tool (Tableau), Database.
