Nike Facilities Specialist II, Japan in Tokyo, Japan

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Facilities Specialist II, to join our office in Tokyo, Japan. The Nike Real Estate and Store Construction team is committed to serving our Athletes in the best way and the Facilities Specialist II will take on an essential role to deliver and maintain world-class Nike retail environments for consumers and store teams while protecting the future of sport. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing, maintaining and preserving store environments, safeguarding the brand and store assets, and supporting fleet expansion through our New Store Opening process.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

A typical day will consist of overseeing store services, including maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and pest control, as well as managing the ordering process and working with vendors. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing sustainability programs, including implementation, operations, vendor management, financial administration, and execution.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will serve as the main contact for Facilities, reporting directly to the Director of Store Development in Japan. You will be responsible for daily communication with our Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) Facilities Lead at World Headquarters (WHQ) in Portland, Oregon. Additionally, you will collaborate with our Store Construction and Store Operations teams in Tokyo for your day-to-day tasks.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or working experience in Architecture, Design or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience (professional or intern) in project or construction management, architecture, or design, preferably within retail and wholesale boutiques

  • Transferable skills in cross-functional team and project management with cross-border stakeholders. Experience in third-party and vendor management is also required

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Japanese. Ability to lead and act as a point of contact for our stores in Japan regarding store services, supplies, and sustainability in Japanese is highly required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project), Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and AutoCAD (Computer Aided Design) or Vectorworks

  • Self-motivated to learn and innovate new processes and efficiencies.

  • Domestic and international travel required for store visits and new store openings, maximum once a quarter.
