AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

In this role, you’ll operate within the APJ Industry & Partner Solutions Center of Excellence, surrounded by world class builders focusing on Industries, Solutions, Products & Services, and Generative AI, helping to define AWS Partner strategy aligned to these pillars.

To accelerate value for our rapidly-growing partner community, we are looking for a motivated, technically savvy person to build upon our ecosystem of AWS partners that work with, or provide consulting services to clients requiring cloud-based solutions from AWS.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and drive strategy to utilize the Catalyst methodology to achieve results and drive insights aligned to business needs.

  • Build and grow a community of AWS Partners, with practices dedicated to specific AWS services and solutions.

  • Develop and drive business and technical enablement plans to partners to facilitate the implementation and operations of AWS services and solutions.

  • Promote top partners to AWS customers and sellers regionally.

  • Work with regional leads to identify and develop partners globally.

  • Develop and drive promotions, funding benefits, and incentives as appropriate

  • Gather, organize, and report back partner feedback (both technical and business) to help improve the customer and partner experience

  • Own communication strategy: Contribute updates to internal communication channels, and keep key stakeholders informed of changes, events, and opportunities.

  • Build GTM plans with AWS partners and execute to deliver agreed outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Proactive stakeholder management and relationship building

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud experience

  • Working knowledge of channel strategy or AWS Partners

  • Self-starter; comfortable working autonomously within a deadline and achieving milestones

  • Strong communication skills, able to explain and document a compelling value proposition
