WESCO Senior Planner in Tlalnepantla de Baz, Mexico

As a Senior Planner, you will create, review, publish, and refine demand and supply plans across multiple sources and shipping points to deliver high-quality inventory projections; ensuring the right product, at the right place, at the right time. You will support the demand and supply review steps within the SIOP process and collect input from Planning, Sales, Category & Inventory Management, Purchasing, Operations and Finance to achieve world class service level and inventory performance, including all product life-cycle stages.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Sales, Category & Inventory Management, Purchasing, Operations and Finance teams to support world-class demand and/or supply planning processes.

  • Own development and maintenance of the demand (consensus forecast and customer orders) and supply (supplier orders and transfers) plans to reach agreed service levels with optimal inventory at lowest cost to serve.

  • Develop optimal item and location-level inventory projections for a 24-month rolling horizon for a subset of categories using demand signals, source capabilities, and organizational goals.

  • Develop total customer SKU level unit forecast for selected key accounts within tolerance to Sales/Finance Gross Sales Volume and COGS, input to monthly SIOP Demand, Supply, and Executive Review meetings.

  • Responsible for translating supply planning service level impact and constraining forecasts as per management direction freeing up cash flow and reflecting customer restock volumes, and contractual obligations.

  • Leverage system capabilities to ‘plan by exception’. Perform root cause analysis and ensure action plans are communicated to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to meet/exceed SC&O KPIs: forecast accuracy, inventory levels and availability, service level, and On-Time-In-Full (inbound & outbound) among others.

  • Ensure system data integrity. Develop and implement processes to improve master data accuracy for distribution network. Ensure that planning software interfaces and parameter maintenance have been documented and related processes developed/updated.

  • Work with the Planning Manager and/or Director, as well as the planning team on accelerating the adoption of best of breed process enablers, and champion the discipline within the SBU.

  • Coordinate with Senior Buyer & Buyers on material availability, and execution of suggested replenishment plan.

  • Generate/Evaluate “What-If” Scenarios for critical business intersections as part of the monthly SIOP process.

  • Maintain planning operating model integrity with quality inputs to Demand and/or Supply Planning decision support systems. Identify and suggest improvements to existing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree (U.S.)/College Diploma (Canada) required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance or related field preferred.

  • Licenses/Certificates/Designations – Institute for Supply Management (ISM), Blue Yonder (JDA) or other leading Advanced Planning System (APS), American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in Demand and/or Supply Planning or Inventory Management.

  • 3+ years of experience with Supply Chain applications for Demand & Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization and/or Network Design (Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, o9, OMP, Oracle, SAP, or other leading Advanced Planning System).

  • 3+ years of experience in analyzing complex data, identifying patterns and analysis techniques to develop conclusions and insights used for the decision-making processes.

  • Ability to analyze data, make assumptions, and defend them.

  • 2+ years of experience assisting supply chain transformations to ensure completion of milestones and initiatives.

  • 3+ years of experience in projects planning and programs scheduling preferred.

  • 2-3 years of experience in supply chain planning and/or related business transformation preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain processes, such as SIOP -Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning, Forecasting, Demand and Supply Planning, and Materials Management.

  • Excellent communication and support skills. Ability to explain complex concepts and analytics to non-technical audience. Translate user requirements into actionable data.

  • Proficient multi-tasking skills, ability to prioritize and handle many projects at once with ever shifting priorities and deadlines with ability to track and manage progress.

  • Proficient in MS Excel, Access, and/or PowerBI or other Business Intelligence (BI) Tools, e.g. Tableau, or Qlik.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%
