The Senior Manager overseeing Innovative Medicine Supply Chain (IMSC) Resilience is responsible for improving our risk and resilience processes and capabilities, working with teams to illuminate and disposition supply chain risks, helping teams prioritize and develop mitigation strategies, and providing oversight on mitigation performance across the portfolio. They will perform portfolio-level analysis to offer insights and recommend opportunities to strengthen IMSC resilience, as well as support work to better orchestrate risk management across key functions. This critical role will help ensure we deliver Our Credo commitments, protect our patients, and drive growth by helping mature IMSC Risk & Resilience Management to become more dynamic, proactive, and efficient, strengthening our ability to rebound from disruption and deliver critical treatments to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk Management Base Business and Continuous Improvement:

  • Assist Resilience Team in supporting overall Resilience activities, and facilitating the Value Chain Risk Management (VCRM) process for IMSC across the products and product portfolio.

  • Support prioritization of risk assessments and refreshes across IM product portfolio, and driving annual cadence to ensure delivery of plan by Value Chain Leader (VCL)/Value Chain Team (VCT).

  • Track progress of product mitigation action plans, with a cadence of updates to Value Chain Management (VCM) organization and leadership, provide input to the JJSC VCRM team on IMSC progress.

  • Support and facilitate product risk assessments and refreshes with the Value Chain Leader (and Value Chain Team).

  • Work with VCLs and VCTs to create robust mitigation action plans and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for their products (creation of the Mitigation Action Plan (MAP) and Resilience Strategy from the assessment as input to Product Strategy).

  • Support update and delivery of IMSC Risk and Resilience Training on annual basis.

  • Collaborate with JJSC VCRM in continuing to shape, improve, and implement standards, processes, capabilities, and insights creation.

Risk and Resilience Portfolio Performance and Governance:

  • Provide portfolio level overview of BCPs/MAPs for alignment across functional strategies, overall prioritization and alignment, and risk mitigation performance.

  • Provide portfolio level analytics and insights on IMSC risk and resilience to influence strategy.

  • Provide portfolio level view to consolidate the overall risk and resilience investment, including inventory, for LRFP/BP for product BCPs/MAPs.

  • Assist in driving awareness to IMSC, VCM and VCLs of new governmental regulations on product risk management requirements, and tracking for any required compliance reporting.

  • Support preparation of routine leadership and governance reporting and review on IMSC risk and resilience.

Digital Development:

  • Support team in further development of digital capabilities to improve impact and efficiency of risk and resilience business processes.

  • As Business Process Owner (BPO), work with technical teams in final development and update and implement any digital applications to support any key business processes, including those developed in collaboration with J&J Enterprise Supply Chain.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to orchestrate digital capabilities across key supply chain risk processes.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's / University or equivalent degree is required; focused degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field preferred

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience working in Supply Chain and/or working across multiple Supply Chain functions

  • Demonstrated knowledge of E2E supply chain and good understanding of the key SC functions (e.g., Value Chain Management, Operations, Quality, Planning, Deliver, and/or Procurement)

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and distill complex information, and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment

  • Equipped with knowledge and ability to identify, engage, and build emotional intelligence with business partners, and apply these methods to their daily work

  • Demonstrated success in orchestrating/collaborating with cross-functional self-organized teams with a focus on consensus management, delivering value, and improving business impact

  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building, and negotiating/influencing skills (with or without direct authority), with demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate at various levels including cross-functional teams / execution and leadership / strategic levels

Preferred:

  • Direct experience with risk management processes

  • Pharmaceuticals or related highly-regulated industry experience

  • Experience with digitalization, including developing and implementing digital tools to drive business processes

  • E2E thinking and demonstrated business and financial acumen

Other:

  • Requires proficiency in English (verbal and written) to communicate effectively and professionally

  • Requires up to 15% domestic and international travel

  • Requires the ability, through our flexible work policy, to work on-site a minimum of three days each week, with the option for two remote workdays each week

The compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $118,000 USD to $203,550 USD.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
