Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine R&D (IM R&D) is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) position supporting the 4 Delivery units within Global Development. IM R&D aims to transform patients' lives by discovering and developing innovative solutions to address the most important medical needs of our time. Within IM R&D, Global Development is the preferred partner for the delivery of clinical studies worldwide and will drive value by accelerating and enabling the development and lifecycle of all Johnson & Johnson health care products. Recently Global development, created TA-aligned Delivery Units with end-to-end asset delivery mapped to disease area programs to unify asset strategy, planning and execution.

This location of this position could be in Beerse Belgium or Titusville/Raritan NJ or Springhouse PA, United States.

You will provide financial support and strategic leadership and have high exposure to Senior Leadership Team members, working closely with partners from cross-functional teams (e.g. Commercial Finance, Clinical Functional Planning).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing business partnering support to the 4 Delivery units (Oncology, Immunology, Cross TA, and Medical Affairs), including functional budget, headcount management and financial reporting.

  • Understanding the cross-functional business and be actively engaged in key business challenges, decisions, and opportunities.

  • Liaison between Delivery Unit Medical Affairs, Clinical Functional Planning, Commercial Finance and Commercial Medical Affairs.

  • Coordinate the budget process in close collaboration with cross-functional teams: forecasting and budgeting during major budget cycles of both FTE and project expenses.

  • Lead and coordinate the quarterly charge out process to cross-functional teams (Local, Regional and Global Commercial Finance groups and commercial partners).

  • Lead and participate in ad hoc (strategic) projects, operational improvement initiatives and special requests such as savings calculations.

  • Ensure that the principles and elements of the Credo, J&J business policies, Healthcare Compliance, Regulatory, GAAP, and Sarbanes Oxley are adhered to all aspects of the job responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A Minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required preferably in Finance or Accounting. Master’s/MBA degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • A minimum of 5 years finance experience is required.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (i.e. Pivot Tables, Formulas, LOOKUP functions).

  • Able to work independently in a very dynamic, complex, and global business environment, with a proactive and result oriented attitude.

  • Continuously challenge the status quo and provides recommendations for finance and business improvements.

  • Highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and leadership skills

  • Proficiency in English is required.

The base pay range for this position, in the USA, is $76,000 - $121,900 USD

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
