Job Title: Paint Assembly Technician
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced aircraft sealer/painter assembler to coat and assemble aircraft components, specifically parts related to landing gear. The role involves working in the backshop to support the accessories and gear shop group. The ideal candidate must have over 2 years of recent experience applying sealants and coating small to large aircraft parts and performing bench work aircraft assembly.
Responsibilities
Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment such as dual action sanders, hydraulic lift platforms, and paint sprayers; sealants; paint strippers and corrosion-preventive chemicals; and use protective equipment as required.
Comply with safety rules and procedures and be alert for unsafe conditions.
Safely perform preparation, painting, and detailing under minimal supervision.
Coordinate with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs, and quality inspection.
Mix paints to manual specifications, then stir and thin the paints, using spatulas or power mixing equipment.
Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from surfaces in preparation for paint application using abrasives, solvents, brushes, or sandblasters.
Monitor painting operations to identify flaws, such as blisters or streaks, and correct their causes.
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for cleaning duties.
Set up portable equipment, such as ventilators or exhaust units.
Sand surfaces between coats of paint or primer to remove flaws and enhance adhesion for subsequent coats.
Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.
Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Experience in paint preparation and application on aviation parts.
Experience with aircraft and automotive components.
Proficiency in sealant application and coating techniques.
Ability to remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from surfaces using abrasives, solvents, brushes, or sandblasters.
Ability to mix paints to manual specifications and use power mixing equipment.
Experience sanding surfaces between coats of paint or primer.
Ability to disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
2 years of experience in automotive components sealant/paint/coating.
2 years of experience in aircraft components sealant/paint/coating.
Why Work Here?
Based on performance, employees can receive a pay increase after completing 90 days, along with a second shift differential. Additionally, employees will receive paid company benefits and be eligible for performance bonuses.
Work Environment
This position operates on the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday from 3:30 PM to midnight. Must be available for some overtime when needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TITUSVILLE, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00
