Air Force Materiel Command MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Tinker AFB, Oklahoma

The primary purpose of this position is to To server as a Management Analyst within the organization, for overall program coordination/policy and implementation to provide the Director information needed for assessment, guidance and direction in managing the Squadron and understanding the impact on supportability and execution of schedule. Responsibilities Incumbent accomplishes investigative studies of problem areas involving different elements of aircraft operations, depot aircraft maintenance and repair/overhaul facilities, policies, and programs. Prepares reports and maintains records as required and coordinates the preparation and presentation of work-related information to the squadron leadership. Performs manpower and organizational studies covering squadron functions/operations/workloads. Prepares and conducts formal and informal briefings to leadership and other support personnel. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques used to resolve complex problems of a broad range of functional areas. Serves as an expert as an analyst, evaluator and advisor to management on the evaluation and effectiveness of government programs and operations or the productivity and efficiency of management of the Federal agency and/or other government entities. Evaluates requirements for additional resources, and balances organization needs with overall mission requirements and resource interests. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Broad knowledge of the regulations, policies and practices related to the industrial operations and aircraft depot maintenance process and requirements, to include command directives and goals. 2.Knowledge of applied statistical, analytical, and presentation technique concepts. 3. Knowledge of training and/or experience in multi-media presentation, computer assisted presentations and computer concepts as desired. 4.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally, and in writing. 5. Ability to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy. 6. Ability to access or locate information through the use of a personal computer and software programs. 7. Knowledge of budgeting, procurement, and funding production processes related to inventory management. 8.Knowledge of industrial production processes including production planning, scheduling, and material storage/distribution, as well as, production materials and methods. 9. Ability to stratify resources against approved programs to plan, present, and execute budgets; to analyze budget impacts on programs, and to forecast long-term funding requirements. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
