What You'll Do

This position is for a Software Engineer Intern in the POD Services team within the Vantage Cloud Lake organization. The position involves development, integration, functional and performance testing, and fault analysis of our public cloud solutions. The engineer will be engaged in concept definition, implementation, support for early engagements, and typical life cycle management activities.

Job Functions:

• Member of a fast-paced agile development team responsible for Core Provisioning Services.

• Develop quality innovative solutions for multi-tenant planes.

• Develop and support the services and libraries that enable provisioning and runtime operations across multiple cloud platforms.

• Integrate Rest services with open-source technologies like Kafka

Who You'll Work With

You will work closely with software engineering mentors to deliver one or more features within the scope of Cloud Services.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and creative current undergrad or graduate student who is eager to learn cloud technologies and can contribute to the success of Teradata. They will also have class work or independent experience with Go, Python, RESTful services, public cloud (AWS) infrastructure and services, K8S, computer science fundamentals (e.g. RESTful API, algorithms), Git, and agile methodologies.

• Excellent troubleshooting, listening, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with class design, and system design.

• Experience with Go, Python, or any other modern programming languages.

• Experience with public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP

• Experience in RESTful services development.

• Experience in K8S and Container development.

• Knowledge of security best practices for RESTful services.

• Comfortable working on a Linux system.

• Experience with Git.

• Experience with DevOps automation tools and libraries.
