Job Description Summary

The Planner IV Fluids and Alaris Systems Service is responsible for the development of the Supply Plan, targeting two year ends for the expanding IV Fluids portfolio and is responsible for developing a robust vendor forecast for the Alaris Systems Spare Parts portfolio. The Planner IV Fluids and Alaris Systems Service is a key contributor to the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process identifying constraints and mitigation plans to meet business requirements. The Planner IV Fluids and Alaris Systems Service works closely with the Global Demand Planners for the Alaris Systems devices and Demand Planner for IV Fluids. The Supply Planner role entails a worldwide focus on the optimization of supply of finished goods with an emphasis on worldwide inventory flow, visibility, and management. The Planner IV Fluids and Alaris Systems Service is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the MPS and applicable SAP parametric settings.

The Planner IV Fluids and Alaris Systems Service is responsible for managing the relationship with the Vendor for the IV fluid platform to the US Market. Translating an unconstrained forecast into a detailed Supply Plan, providing visibility on inventory levels at the DC’s and in transit reporting. The Planner IV Fluids and Alaris Systems Service determines system inventory parameters, manages purchase orders, communicates delivery schedules, expedites material, processes returns, and resolves payment issues.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop an executable rolling 12-14 Month Vendor forecast based on Global forecasted demand

  • Participate in Global Demand and Supply consensus meetings with the Global Demand Planner

  • Work with the Procurement teams to ensure sufficient Raw Material inventory supply to the Manufacturing site and DC

  • Define and manage SAP applicable parametric settings and master data.

  • Participant for all new product introductions or product discontinuation projects

  • Participant in yearly budgeting process, determining Inventory levels for IV Fluids in our US DC’s and Raw Materials / Kits in our MFG sites and DC’s

  • Develop analysis and reports related to inventory level projections, recovery plans, capacity

  • Manages OEM purchase orders and communicates delivery information to DC’s and Production Planners.

  • Frequently reviews and maintains the integrity of systems parameters (lot/order size, lead times, Days Forward Supply, Safety Stock) and provides data for Key Performance Metrics

  • Key owner of the back order process and metrics

  • Keeps abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in own area of work and complies with those requirements.

  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

< >Solid knowledge of Supply Chain procedures (Supply Planning, Inventory controls, capacity leveling, product deployment)Experience in a manufacturing environment coordinating multi-discipline activities

Proven ability to effectively interact with multi-functional areas (Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Purchasing, Finance, Quality, etc.)Excellent oral and written communication skills

Detail-oriented individual with a strong ability to multi-task

Familiarity with an ERP system and common software applications a must

A minimum of 3 years planning experience A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is preferred

Ideal candidate will have a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or related field.

Knowledge of integrated Supply Chain systems a plus i.e. S&OP.

Requires excellent analytical, planning, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.

Certification in APICS, CPIM or CIRM is preferred.

SAP SCM knowledge and experience preferred.
