Job Description

Seeking an expert Agile Coach and Scrum Master to join Portfolio Management team, responsible for guiding Agile transformation and facilitating Scrum practices within teams. A deep understanding of Agile methodologies and good communication skills are necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Agile Coach Responsibilities:

  • Agile Transformation: Lead and support the organization in its Agile transformation journey, ensuring a smooth transition from traditional methodologies to Agile practices.

  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer hands-on coaching and mentorship to Agile teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other collaborators to enhance their Agile capabilities.

  • Training and Workshops: Conduct Agile training sessions, workshops and boot camps to educate teams and collaborators on Agile principles, practices, and tools.

  • Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by helping teams identify and implement process improvements, remove impediments and optimize workflows.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and standard methodologies in Agile methodologies and share knowledge with the organization.

Scrum Master Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and time-boxed.

  • Support the Product Owner: Assist the Product Owner in maintaining a well-groomed product backlog, ensuring clear and concise user stories and prioritizing work effectively.

  • Remove Impediments: Identify and remove any impediments or obstacles that may hinder the team's progress, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.

  • Champion Collaboration: Encourage open communication, collaboration, and visibility within the team and with collaborators, customers, and partners to ensure alignment and mutual understanding.

  • Track Team Progress: Continuously supervise and monitor the team's progress, speed, and performance metrics, providing regular updates to collaborators and identifying areas for improvement.

  • Ensure Quality: Work with the team to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

  • Agile and Scrum Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and Scrum principles, practices, and frameworks.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain sophisticated concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and social skills with the ability to inspire and empower teams.

  • Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to address challenges and impediments.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing environments and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

  • Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence etc.

  • Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC), or equivalent Agile certifications are highly desirable.
