Job Title: Structural Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating structural components for various construction projects, ensuring that all work is completed with precision and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural welding tasks including assembly, fabrication, and installation of steel components.

  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.

  • Operate welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Conduct quality inspections of welded joints to ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements.

  • Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and fabricators, to ensure project deadlines are met.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a Structural Welder in a construction or manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in FCAW.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to welding activities.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Ability to pass 3G and 1F weld test (vertical and flat fillet welds).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Flux core, Mig, Weld, Fitting, Fabrication, columns, beams, girders.

  • Welding certification (e.g., AWS) preferred but not required.

  • Experience with structural steel projects for high-rise applications or bridge infrastructure is a plus.

  • Hand rail or stair fabrication experience is a nice to have.
