Job Title: Shipper & Receiver

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shipper & Receiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in material handling, computer literacy, and general warehouse operations. This role involves preparing outgoing shipments and coordinating with the Customer Service team to ensure accurate and timely completion of shipping documents.

Responsibilities

• Transact customer orders using both carrier and ERP systems.

• Provide quality control inspections within the workflow.

• Package and tape international shipments in multi-pack cartons for export.

• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons.

• Take an accurate inventory count at the end of each day.

• Serve as a back-up order picker as needed.

• Assemble cardboard cartons for large, multipack shipments.

• Move prepared shipments from shipping cart to dock door as needed.

• Call and/or email forwarding companies to arrange pick-up.

• Consign shipments to forwarders and ensure correct shipments are consigned by listening carefully and checking documents.

• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in using RF scanners

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Problem-solving abilities

• Demonstrated ability to learn new software/applications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Forklift certification (or ability to get certified)

Work Environment

You will work in our new distribution center, which features extensive racking similar to that of a Costco. You will use material handling equipment to stage orders for shipment. The role includes both day and swing shifts, with specific hours and wage rates based on experience levels. The dress code is casual, and the facility is designed to be a comfortable and productive environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tigard, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
