Air Squared Manufacturing, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of scroll type compressors and vacuum pumps for the medical, automotive, aerospace, fuel cell and power generation industries. Air Squared is aggressively pursuing the compressors used in auxiliary air systems on board fully electric trucks and buses. Newly developed liquid cooled scroll compressor technology has shown to offer a step change in pressure capability for oil free compressors.
We are seeking a Product Engineer to take an existing product facing reliability, cost, manufacturability, quality or performance limitations and further developing the product to meet specific standards.
Pay Range: $75,000 to $85,000 / year, based on qualifications and experience.
Benefits include: Health Insurance (optional HSA plan with $10 per pay period matching) Health Reimbursement Account to assist with medical deductible Dental and vision insurance Long Term Disability Insurance, paid by employer Life insurance 401(k) Retirement plan Safety shoe allowance 3-weeks PTO accrual and paid holidays Parental Leave Educational reimbursement Product Engineer I Job Responsibilities: Take existing products facing reliability, cost, manufacturability, quality, or performance limitations, and further developing the process to meet specific standards Create new processes to further support the quality and reliability of the product Overseeing production and ensuring that products conform to specs and safety regulations Ensure production procedures efficiently utilize materials and personnel Test finished product for quality purposes and recommend changes to specs as necessary Consult with procurement to determine cost effective manufacturing procedures and materials Employ a wide range of engineering disciplines to problem-solve product issues Limited project management. Regularly lift 20 lbs. of raw materials or machine parts with or without accommodation Perform other tasks as assigned Product Engineer I Qualifications: MUST SUBMIT RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED BS or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (required) 2 years of experience in rotating mechanical equipment (preferred) Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software (required) Experience in SolidWorks PDM (preferred) Experience with FEA and CFD (preferred) Experience with GD&T (required) Experience with Tolerance Stack up Analysis (required) Experience with an ERP software, preferably Global Shop References from previous employers Employment with Air Squared is contingent on passing a statewide background check, drug screening (for substances illegal in the state of Colorado), and employment verification through E-Verify Location: Thornton, Colorado (onsite position)
