DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning of the office by performing a diverse range of clerical tasks. These tasks will play a crucial role in supporting staff members in delivering high-quality services to the citizens of Pennsylvania. By adhering to established office procedures and utilizing relevant systems, you will engage in a variety of clerical and general office duties. This will involve interacting with the general public in a courteous and professional manner, both in person and over the phone. Additionally, your basic computer skills will be put to use as you carry out various office functions such as data entry, customer service, scanning, imaging, filing, answering phones, and processing mail and voice mail. Throughout your work, you will receive general supervision from a Clerical Supervisor, ensuring that you have the necessary guidance and support to excel in your role.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 60-minute lunch. The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement. This position will require overtime and travel as needed. WORK CONDITIONS: Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. In counties with District Offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs. Reassignments will be made in compliance with contract language. Please check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school;or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements:
