Job Title: Pressing Machine Operator
Job Description
The machine operator will work in the Production/Pressing Department. This building is separate from the Processing department. Bricks are made at this location by robots and press machines. Operators will load and unload molds into the machines and enter data for the correct brick into the computer system. A 'mix sheet' is provided each day detailing what will be made during the shift. There are hundreds of molds due to the variety of brick types and shapes. This is a faster-paced job. Operators will work in teams of 3-4 people covering 2 press machines.
Duties:
Use FL to load or unload molds and perform changeovers
Enter information into the computer system
Move carts full of bricks and stack them on pallets
Troubleshoot machines for basic issues before calling maintenance (mechanical knowledge and basic math skills required)
End each shift with a 1-hour cleanup of the station, which can be dirty work
First 90 days: Candidates will undergo hands-on training with an experienced operator.
