Job Title: Laboratory TechnicianJob Description

Perform job functions in accordance with all regulatory requirements (OSHA, ADEM, DOT, etc.). Analyze raw material, in-process, and final products for conformity to material specifications in accordance with SP Lab procedures. Perform QC analytics via GC, HPLC, and IC, utilizing an array of detectors including UV, flame-ionization, and electro-chemical, as well as a variety of other laboratory equipment such as balances, refractometers, titrators, spectrophotometers, and colorimeters. Prepare and analyze analytical standards to ensure the integrity of any reported values. Provide PTO coverage for Laboratory Technicians and coordinate with Production Staff to ensure analytical services remain uninterrupted. Record analytical results for all testing in Excel and SAP. Prepare product samples to be shipped via DOT regulations. Maintain a tidy working environment. Ensure all chemical waste is disposed of in accordance with government regulations. Maintain laboratory inventory, unpack, and transport reagent and product chemicals safely as needed.

Hard Skills

• Laboratory experience (industrial or academic)

• Environmental monitoring or food lab experience (USDA, FDA)

• Microbiological procedures and PPE

• Experience with SOPs and documentation

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Theodore, Alabama.

Work Environment

Pharmaceutical lab with cleanroom. Team-oriented environment. Schedule: 4 - 10 hrs. (5 AM - 3 PM), initial 3-6 months; 12 hrs. swing shift, days (5 AM - 5 PM).
