Linde Engineering North America LLC Project Controls Engineer The Woodlands, TX, Tonawanda, NY | req21665 What you will enjoy doing*
- You will collaborate with the project team to develop project controls strategies and plans that align with project objectives, contract requirements, and company policies
- Further, you will lead project controls engineers, providing guidance and support for scheduling, cost control, risk management, progress tracking, and resource planning activities
- In this role, you will monitor, analyze, and report on project progress, cost performance, and risk exposure. Collaborate with the project manager to develop plans to address areas of concern and achieve project objectives
- You will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of project controls data and information. Implement quality assurance processes to achieve reliable and consistent project outcomes
- You will develop and maintain project schedules as well as collaborate with project team members to identify project milestones and critical path analysis
- Further, you will monitor project costs against budget and forecast. Collaborate with project managers to develop cost estimates, identify cost variances, and develop corrective action plans
- You also will manage change management processes to ensure changes are accurately documented and incorporated into project plans and cost estimates
What makes you great
- You have a BS / BA in Business Administration, Construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience and 2-10 years of experience managing the project control, scheduling, or project management function for an engineering and construction company
- Hands-on experience in project control in an EPC environment preferred and certified PMP-Project Management Professional and / or AACE-Certified Cost Engineer preferred
- Moreover, you have effective computer skills; Microsoft Office Software, Outlook, and other Company and discipline specific software applications, e.g. Primavera P6, MSP, SAP are preferred
- Hands-on experience in project controls in an EPC environment required; including scheduling, earned value measurement, cost forecasting, and project risk management
