Purpose/Introduction
The Income Tax Analyst reports to the International Tax Manager and works closely with another International Tax Analysts.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of the federal schedules of the Form 1065 Partnership Return
Assist in the preparation of the company’s U.S. international compliance, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 8975,1042, Partner K-1, K-2 and K-3s
Compile data requests for International Boycott Report and prepare Form 5713
Prepare BEPS Country by Country documentation and track Pillar Two implementation and reporting requirements
Prepare monthly domestic and foreign income tax provision, including estimates for GILTI, FDII, BEAT, and other tax attributes
Prepare quarterly and year-end audit documentation
Establish and maintain relationships with key finance, tax, and operating personnel within the company and its joint ventures
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 5 years of tax experience working at a public accounting firm or for a large U.S. based multi-national company
Ability to identify and address compliance issues around completing a large, complex tax return (e.g., required disclosures, elections, filing procedures)
General understanding of US GAAP, ASC 740, and SOX controls and procedures
Income tax provision experience and ability to identify process improvements
Effective tax research and communication skills
Ability to work independently on special projects to assist tax managers
Ability to work in cross functional teams within Finance, Tax and operations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong working knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or CPA candidate
Experience with U.S. international and host country income tax compliance
Broad technical international and foreign income tax experience and related Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) provisions (e.g., FDII, GILTI, BEAT, 163(j), E&P, foreign tax credits, accounting methods)
Experience with partnership taxation
Experience with CorpTax or similar tax software
Experience with SAP or another ERP financial system
