Description

We are in search of a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team based in The Woodlands, Texas. The role involves managing all facets of accounts payable within a commercial property management setting. The successful candidate will be expected to utilize their expertise in accounting and specific skills in Yardi Software and Commercial Property Management.

Our client located in The Woodlands, TX area is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist with Yardi Software experience and Commercial Property Management experience and will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable within a commercial property management company, while utilizing their expertise in accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Managing daily accounts payable activities such as receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices with the help of Yardi software.

• Preparing and executing electronic transfers and payments to vendors in a timely manner.

• Resolving any discrepancies that may arise in purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.

• Posting transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records as part of the accounting process.

• Assisting in the creation of financial reports and conducting analysis.

• Auditing and verifying expense reports and requests for accuracy.

• Assisting with month, quarter, and year-end closing processes.

• Maintaining accurate historical records by filing documents electronically.

• Ensuring compliance with company policies, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

• Coordinating with Property Managers to ensure accurate and timely payment of all property-related expenses.

• Providing excellent customer service to vendors, clients, and internal staff.

Requirements

• Possession of a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounts payable role.

• Proficiency in using Yardi Software.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP).

• Familiarity with commercial property management.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Associates degree in Finance, Accounting, required.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Ability to adapt to new software and technology systems.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
