Job Overview:

The Associate Source Inspection Specialist is responsible for utilizing existing Source Inspection procedures to solve routine or standard problems. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, and they will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to Source Inspection and Supply Chain and Quality.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Perform discipline-specific inspections, examinations, and witness tests that are required to be executed in accordance with documented procedures and/or industry practices for various types of Bulks & equipment; example of equipment includes rotating equipment, static equipment, skid mounted equipment, structural steel, piping, etc.

  • Be familiar and demonstrate proficiency with tools and equipment employed in conducting inspections, examinations, and tests

  • Capable to determine calibration status of measuring and test equipment (M&TE) to determine whether it is in suitable condition for use, and that inspections, examinations, and test procedures are approved

  • Demonstrate capability in reporting inspections, examinations, and test results and in evaluating the validity and acceptability of inspection examination, and test results

  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, Supplier Inspection Test Plans (ITP’s) and procedures, specifications, and other design documents; perform field walk-downs to determine work conforms with design documents, applicable codes and standards, and procedures

  • Understand the concepts for; procuring items/ equipment; maintaining traceability of material/items; document control; special processes; handling and storage

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in an Engineering discipline or Equivalent

  • 0-3 years of experience with hands-on inspection of fabricated components in accordance with the requirements of various Codes and Standards, i.e., ASME Sections ASTM, AWS, ANSI, API etc.

  • Certification as an AWS or other recognized Welding Inspection Certification is a plus

  • Capability of passing an Inspection NDT Level II examination

  • Sound leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Must be willing to travel 100% if required

  • Good written and verbal communications skills
