IT Software Developer

Responsibilities:-

Developing software solutions for digitalization of processes requested by various cross-functional departments under the guidance of SPM Function. This will include

• Creating end to end web-based solution for various switchgear production line projects.

• Converting existing desktop-based application MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to web-based platforms.

• Creating Dashboards and reports using web-based platforms for various departments (Production, Quality, Plant Management and Suppliers) for better visibility of Production Status of various products.

• Planning & execution of IT-based manufacturing processes like SQL-based Label Printing, Laser Marking process etc.

• Creating Documentation of all software solutions delivered to cross-functional departments including source-code & Database Management related points.

• Providing IT based-technical on-site support or support via remote access for smooth functioning of IT-enabled manufacturing stations.

• Diagnosing and resolving software, networking, hardware, and IT peripherals (like Printers) related issues.

• Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate Local-IT/Central-IT/Global-IT Teams for extended support.

• Maintaining Inventory, upgradation & patching of all IT assets (Servers, PCs, IP-enabled devices)

• Understand & adhere to Siemens’s policies of EHS and Information Security.

• Supporting upcoming Local & Global Cybersecurity audits & closing of deviations found in those audits for SI EP MF KW Factory.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology / computer science with proven experience of 1+ years as full stack developer in real-time development projects.

Mandatory/Primary Technical Skills:-

• Front-end language/platforms: Angular, ASP.NET, ASP.NET CORE

• Backend Language/platforms: C, C#, NodeJS, ReactJS

• Database Management/platforms: MySQL, SQL Server

• Experience in ‘Make-to-order’ & ‘Make-to-stock’ Manufacturing environments.

• Basic understanding of Product Traceability & Production scheduling

Desired / Secondary Technical Skills:-

• Knowledge of working with Raspberry Pi and data formats like XML and JSON

• Experience on Industrial Protocols like RS232 serial Communication & ethernet communication

Required Soft skills & Other Capabilities:-

• Great attention to detail and good analytical abilities.

• Good planning and organizational skills.

• Collaborative approach to sharing ideas and finding solutions.

• Ability to work independently and in a global team environment.
