UTHealth Houston is looking for a Senior Enterprise Resource Planning Administrator who will focus on a dministering our Informatica IDMC Cloud Platform. Informatica is new to our system, and we are using it as a "data mover" to go from differing environments and several applications on a routine and as-needed basis. Data will be sent in a variety of file types, and we need someone with solid Informatica experience to help implement it successfully and use it strategically.

The ideal candidate should have the following additional experience in addition to the requirements of the Sr ERP System Administrator:

  • Complete working knowledge of Informatica IDMC as it relates to Data Integration, API Management, API Development, and Application Integration. These are the core modules we are using currently in Informatica

  • Working knowledge of IPaaS methodologies, procedures, and best practices

This will be a hybrid role that requires employees to sometimes be on site. This full-time position is eligible for all benefits from UTHealth Houston.

General Position Summary:

Oversees and provides technical leadership and operational expertise at the decision-making level for the implementation, configuration, and administration of institutional Oracle ERP and related software systems. Oversees and leads the System Administrators as a key technical resource for all Oracle ERP and related systems. Exercises considerable latitude and judgment in determining methods and objectives of assignments. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  1. Oversees the installation, development, maintenance, performance monitoring and tuning, vendor contact, upgrade, and ongoing support for institutional Oracle ERP and related software systems.

  2. Oversees all activities related to System Administration and provides technical expertise when necessary.

  3. Participates in the formulation and implementation of standards and procedures as related to ERP System Administration

  4. Responsible for the enforcement of change management policies and procedures as related to Oracle ERP Systems

  5. Oversees the administration of policies and procedures relating to Oracle/PeopleSoft security, including the use of profiles, security trees, and views and procedures by which access is authorized, enabled, changed, and withdrawn.

  6. Oversees the monitoring of various performance metrics for all Oracle/Peoplesoft ERP Servers and ensures all systems are functioning as efficiently as possible.

  7. Provides technical support and guidance for systems analysts and programmers in support of all aspects of PeopleSoft architecture, tools, and configuration.

  8. Maintains current knowledge and keeps management informed of products, developments, enhancements and trends in PeopleSoft ERP systems and related software. Develop recommendations for management.

  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

• Certifications in relevant areas such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, and Microsoft are highly desirable. ERP systems implementation and support experience is required.

  • With this particular Administrator, you must have experience with Informatica.

• A broad knowledge of automated systems, including NT, and UNIX; large complex application systems with multiple file structures; and/or large data networks

• Requires strong study and research skills for input into institutional technical direction.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or related discipline or related experience in lieu of education.

Minimum Experience:

Seven (7) years of experience working with ERP systems, relational databases, and other software applications in a large-scale enterprise-wide environment.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215

Residency Requirement:

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas. This hybrid role requires employees to come in from time to time to the office.
