Valero Administrative Assistant in TEXAS CITY, Texas

Description:
* Communicates instructions or desires of director to various individuals and/or departments. * Prepares correspondence, memoranda, presentations and reports including the consolidation and editing of monthly activity reports under direction of director. * Schedules appointments and meetings, which may include preparing agendas, reserving and preparing facilities, and capturing meeting notes. * Processes and files invoices, requisitions and various expenses for the department. * Creates positive interactions when engaging with employees and vendors via meetings, phone calls and emails. * Receives and prepares incoming and outgoing mail pertaining to the director. * Compiles various statistical reports related to the department and/or overall refinery. * Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials. * Organizes and maintains file system, and files correspondence and records of a confidential nature. * Organizes and expedites the flow of work through the manager’s office. * Arranges and coordinates travel schedules and reservations. * Greets visitors and directs them to the appropriate area or person. * Assists in the preparation of annual budgets related to the department. * Orders and maintains office supplies, and arranges for equipment maintenance. * Coordinates employee related events (i.e. luncheons, appreciation events, company festivities) * Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is salaried nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications:
* Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Texas City Refinery, required. * High School diploma or GED required. * 5 years of secretarial experience required. * Experience providing administrative support for corporate executives in the refining/petroleum industry preferred. * Experience using SAP preferred. * Experience using Microsoft Excel preferred. * Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint preferred.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
