Commercial National Bank-Txrkn Deposit Operations Assistant in Texarkana, Arkansas
Job Purpose
The Deposit Operations Assistant will perform the day-to-day activities for all processes relating to the operations of the bank while following policies and procedures and mitigating risk.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide a positive customer (both internal and external) experience following the banks minimum expectations for service.
- Perform functions occurring in the department by following banks policies and procedures. Functions may include but are not limited to:
- Answering calls to department, transferring calls and providing support
- Research transactional information on all account types
- ACH processing, including compliance with NACHA rules
- Return Item processing including Unpost, Charge Backs, Stop Payments, and Holds
- Placing and verifying Holds and Stop Payments
- Facilitation of Overdraft Program including collections and reporting
- NSF Processing
- Wire Processing
- Garnishments and Levies
- Foreign Currency and collection items
- Returned mail processing
- Debit Card research and support including disputes and Fraud Monitoring Services
- Online and Mobile Banking research and support, including Bill Pay, RDC and BRDC deposit processing
- Cash Management products and services
- Balancing of internal and external accounts including correspondent banks
- Dormant account monitoring including escheatment process
- IOLTA reporting and processing
- Printing statements
- Scanning and indexing documents
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information both inside and outside the bank.
- Exercise judgment to mitigate risk and maintain compliance with all bank policies, procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with efficiency and accuracy, plan and prioritize workload while meeting deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Must have at least one year of banking experience.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Solid knowledge of relevant banking regulatory standards.
- High level of critical thinking skills.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
Working Conditions
- The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Physical Requirements

- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection of documents and reports both digital and physical.
