Robert Half Software Application Engineer in Tewksbury, Massachusetts

Description

We are offering an employment opportunity for a Software Engineer in Tewksbury, MA 01876. This role is integral to our operations, focusing on implementing Software Configuration Management (SCM). The successful candidate will be involved in Software Development Library (SDL) operations or Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) operations, playing a pivotal part in our software development methodologies, hierarchical change control, baseline management, and version control.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing clean, efficient, and scalable code.

  • Understanding and maintaining legacy code.

  • Identifying and addressing technical risks and proposing solutions.

  • Working in a dynamic development environment and maintaining regular communication with teammates.

  • Implementing new, maintaining, and enhancing existing UI and controlling logic.

  • Working closely with other software, hardware, and mechanical engineers as well as chemists in a laboratory setting.

    Requirements

Skills:

  • Solid understanding of C# & C++ language, syntax, and features.

  • Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming principles and their implementation.

  • Professional software development experience.

  • Familiarity with UI design principles and working knowledge of WinForms and WPF.

  • Experience in identifying/resolving bugs and optimizing code for performance using debugging and profiling tools.

  • Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps.

  • Knowledge of SQL server will be considered as a plus.
