We are looking for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Terrell, Texas. 2 to 4 months in duration. 100% onsite. This role will focus on maintaining spreadsheets for Capital Assets & Grants, conducting bank reconciliations, and working closely with audit firms. The ability to work independently, excel in Microsoft Excel and have strong communication skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain spreadsheets for Capital Assets & Grants

• Conduct bank reconciliations for all accounts, with a focus on the two main accounts

• Work closely with the audit firm to complete the audit

• Track capital asset activities and purchasing in the spreadsheets

• Update the grant spreadsheet with any new grants/activity and additional drawdowns or reimbursements

• Navigate Excel effectively, utilizing functions such as pivot tables

• Work independently towards set goals, with support from the team when necessary

• Conduct outreach to gather necessary information

• Apply strong communication and personable skills in all interactions

• Handle bank reconciliations for all of last year, across about 40 accounts

• Maintain a diligent approach to managing and resolving any customer credit inquiries and issues.

Requirements • Must have expertise in Bank Reconciliations

• Must possess knowledge of Capital Assets

• Should be proficient in Grant Accounting

• Experience in Audit Activities is required

• Ability to create Audit Schedules is necessary

• Must be able to generate Audit Reports

• Prior experience working with Municipalities is a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory
