About you and this role

We are looking for you, an ambitiousBachelor or Master student,to support our HR department by doing an internship project inHR Continuous Improvementfor our location inTerneuzen, the Netherlands.

The department that will welcome you is the Workforce Administration (WFA) team, which focuses on all the employee lifecycle-related activities, such as onboarding, managing employee data, lifecycle changes, absence management and offboarding, for all Dow employees.

WFA is part of the HR Solutions organization, which is responsible for the design and delivery of innovative solutions to all employees and leaders. HR Solutions roles contain deep subject-matter expertise to consult on programs, processes and people. The top priority of HR Solutions is to deliver the best Employee Experience.

Project description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Continuous Improvement Intern to join our HR team.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in enhancing HR processes and driving efficiency within the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in process improvement and a passion for making a positive impact on HR operations. During this internship, you will connect with Regional focal points, participate in team meetings & events and have the opportunity to support in WFA run-the-business activities.

Responsibilities Includes

  • Connect and collaborate with country and regional focal points to gather data, analyze trends, and provide insights for process optimization

  • Assist in mapping and analyzing HR processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains

  • Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within WFA

  • Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at streamlining HR operations and reducing manual efforts

  • Contribute to the development of metrics and KPIs to measure the success of continuous improvement efforts

  • Support WFA run-the-business activities

Must Have Qualifications

  • You are currently studying for a bachelor/master’s degree or equivalent in e.g. Human Resources, Management, Communication. or similar.

  • You have a good working knowledge of English and at least one other European language (e.g. Dutch, German, Spanish, French, Italian).

  • You have advanced MS Office knowledge, and have an affinity to work with data

  • You are well organized, proactive and have good project management / planning skills

  • You have good communication skills and are a true team player, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural team

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You are detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and quality

  • You are always looking for ways to improve and strive for better
