Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing general maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems of plant/production machinery. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong experience in both mechanical and electrical systems to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical problems of plant machinery.

  • Perform maintenance functions and troubleshoot to correct inefficiencies and prevent equipment downtime by completing regular PMs.

  • Ensure the maintenance and preventive maintenance of corrugating plant process equipment to achieve world-class results and meet operational requirements.

  • Work within specifications and drawings, ensuring completion and minimizing waste within set dates and times.

  • Collaborate with the maintenance crew to carry out maintenance and repair projects in mechanical, fabrication, plumbing, and welding functions.

  • Follow all safety and company policies, reporting any issues, accidents, or incidents immediately, and complete online safety training each month as assigned.

  • Perform other corrective and preventive maintenance duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with high-speed, high-tech machinery

  • Knowledge of AC/DC motor control, troubleshooting, and electrical wiring codes

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of technical school education and experience.

  • Minimum of 6 months paper corrugator/manufacturing experience required.

  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, computers in an industrial environment including hardware, software configuration and troubleshooting, network configuration and troubleshooting.

  • Strong maintenance, plumbing, and electrical experience in manufacturing preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable with time management skills.

  • Strong work ethic with an emphasis on safety.

  • Computer competence and experience with the Microsoft suite.

  • Energetic, motivated, and dependable worker dedicated to the job and team.

  • Ability to function as a mature, professional individual who interacts positively with teammates.

  • Willingness to function effectively in a team environment and tackle any task required for the success of the team.

  • High school diploma or GED.

Work Environment

Current openings are for 3rd shift. Technicians work 5 days a week with Sundays off and one additional day off during the week on a set schedule. Overtime is available. Shift hours are as follows: 1st shift: 6:30 am - 3 pm, 2nd shift: 2:30 pm - 11 pm, 3rd shift: 10:30 pm - 7 am. Required tools include steel toe shoes (provided by the employee), hearing protection, safety glasses, and a radio (provided by the employer).
