Job Title: Cable Technician / Fiber Technician

Job Description

We are seeking motivated Cable Technicians and general laborers to join our team at a Meta Data Center in Temple, TX. This is a 3-year project with ample opportunities for growth. The work schedule is 6:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Saturday. This is an outdoor work setting.

Cable Tech 1 Responsibilities (General Laborers- no experience required)- Pay is $20

• Pull cable

• Assist Tech 2

• Run and handle materials

• Utilize hand/power tools

• Climb ladders

Cable Tech 2 Responsibilities (Need 0-4 years of experience)- Pay is $21-$25 based on experience

• Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles, and other devices

• Pull wire and/or oversee and direct conduit installations and wire pulling

• Operate tools/equipment normally requiring the use of two hands (e.g., cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools)

Hard Skills

• Pull cable through pathways

• Terminate and test copper cables (Cat 5, Cat 6)

• Experience pulling fiber

• Cable tray

• Ladder rack

• J hook installation

• Rack assembly

• Operate hand/power tools

• Comfortable with heights

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Environment

Will be working at Meta Data Center in Temple, TX. A 3-year project with plenty of opportunity for growth. Our work schedule is 6:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Saturday.
