Amazon Transportation Coordinator , Supply Chain in Tempe, Arizona

Description

Do you want to be part of an organization that is developing and launching a new business model? If so, Supply Chain Innovation (SCI) Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) team is looking for an experienced Transportation Coordinator with a strong record of achieving results, to own and drive accurate load scheduling for a quickly growing business segment. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about building new businesses, solving complex problems for our customers, and establishing end-to-end transportation scheduling processes. AWD transportation encompasses all of the operations that deliver worldwide shipments from our distribution centers. The AWD team needs exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people to design, develop, and improve our transportation systems.

Key job responsibilities

  • Communicate analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing

  • Create and maintain tools and reports that support both Senior leadership as well as Operators at the site level

  • Partner with teams across the business you support and beyond to source, allocate, and coordinate resources

  • Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks)

  • Manage multiple ongoing priorities and closely adhere to internal team and stakeholder SLAs

  • Design new metrics and enhance existing metrics to support the future state of business processes and ensure sustainability and scalability

  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources in order to provide visibility to pending changes

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes and reduce waste sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format

  • Maintain/update documentation for internal training and reference

  • Communicate analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 1+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
