Robert Half Sr Network Engineer in Tempe, Arizona

Description

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our growing IT team on a short-term contract basis in Tempe, Arizona. This role is an essential part of our technical leadership team, responsible for executing and delivering next-generation software-defined infrastructure, firewall technologies, intrusion detection and prevention, micro-segmentation, SD-WAN, and other data center technologies, along with driving continuous process improvements.

Hybrid work schedule

Task & Responsibilities:

  • Installing, configuring, and managing highly available and scalable data center and cloud networks.

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining robust firewall infrastructure.

  • Monitoring firewall performance and managing configuration changes.

  • Configuring and managing Azure networking components.

  • Transforming the organization by leveraging and enabling automation orchestration, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD).

  • Providing counsel to leadership and other business service leaders on the strategic technology roadmap.

  • Contributing to our positive, team-oriented culture.

    Requirements

Key Skills:

  • Palo Alto/Fortinet/Cisco Firewall Engineering

  • Microsoft Azure and AWS networking

  • Scripting experience with Ansible/Terraform

  • Datacenter Arista/Cisco Switches Experience

  • Well versed with routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, etc

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering Technology, Information Systems or a related discipline.

  • 5 years of experience in a highly technical professional environment.

  • 5 years of experience in a Network environment working with route, switch, firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS.

  • 2 years of experience in Microsoft Azure or AWS/Oracle/IBM networking technologies.

  • Senior-Level experience with Data Center infrastructure solutions: VPN, Cisco Route and Switch, Palo Alto firewalls.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering Technology, Information Systems or related discipline.

  • Airline Industry experience

  • Certifications: CCNP – Security DC Routing Switching, CCIE, PCNSE Palo Alto, Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
