Job Title: Senior Buyer

Job Description

As a Sr Buyer, you will be integral in managing the procurement processes for all raw materials, equipment, and consumable supplies. Your responsibilities include handling RFQs, negotiating material costs, delivery dates, and expedite fees. You are expected to analyze material requirements, procure parts, negotiate with vendors, and resolve any material delivery issues to avoid negative impacts on production schedules. Additionally, you will identify cost-saving opportunities, drive supplier accountability, and ensure the latest material market pricing is utilized for product cost estimating. Collaborating closely with the Engineering and Quality teams, you will address parts supply obsolescence and ensure effective root cause corrective actions for non-conforming products or services.

Hard Skills

• Manufacturing purchasing from a MRP forecast plan, ideally from Aerospace or military programs

• Experience with mechanical assemblies, electronics, printed circuit boards and components such as transistors, capacitors, resistors, op amps

• ERP system experience (Epicor, SAP, Oracle or similar)

• MRP module experience

This is a fully on-site position in Tempe, Arizona.

Work Environment

The work environment involves exposure to weather conditions prevalent at the time, an air-conditioned and heated office, and occasional high noise levels.
