Honeywell Lead Systems Engineer - Reliability and System Safety in Tempe, Arizona

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead reliability and system safety efforts for various electromechanical aerospace product lines including flight control actuation systems and environmental control systems.

  • System Safety Analysis

  • Safety requirements decomposition

  • Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)

  • Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA)

  • Common Mode Analysis (CMA)

  • Reliability Analysis

  • Reliability predictions (MTBF, failure rates, MTBUR)

  • Reliability requirements analysis

  • Reliability Block diagrams (series and parallel modeling)

  • Failure Modes and Effects and Analysis (FMEA / FMECA)

  • Weibull analysis

  • Collaborate with design and system engineering teams to assure that product meets customer requirements

  • Creation and delivery of analytical reports to the customer

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering

  • 15+ years of experience in a reliability or system safety role

  • 5+ years of experience in leading technical project teams

    WE VALUE

  • Experience with reliability and safety analysis on Design Assurance Level (DAL) A systems

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

  • Exposure to MIL-STD-882/785

  • Knowledge of aerospace components including actuation systems and environmental control systems

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information
