Seeking a Lead Project Engineer with technical, business, and financial acumen who will report to the Director, OEM Services within Global Product Engineering Services (GPES) team. The role will be responsible for providing Class 2 Design Authority and Material Review Board (MRB) and extensive mechanical product design knowledge related to Engines and Power Systems (E&PS) and Mechanical System and Components (AES). The individual will be required to lead novel, Bigger, Bolder, Faster and Make it Happen engineering projects related to MRB reduction, ISC Requested Class 2 Design changes, Producibility Improvements and to ensure that business objectives are achieved through Product Design improvements.

Key Responsibilities

-Product focused and add value by changing the current design to support business objectives

-Support Class 2 Design changes on E&PS/AES products

-Work closely with Operations & Quality to control & reduce MRB activity using root cause analysis & corrective action response

-Manufacturing processes will include machining, welding, special processes & quality processes including a variety of inspection methods

-Engineering MRB Support Engines Manufacturing Operations & Supply base while maintaining type design & engineering design intent.

-Work independently & effectively in cross functional teams

-Interface with Suppliers and Customers

-Integration with ISC effort including Honeywell Operating System events to review proposed processing changes to ensure product integrity

-Provide support of program cost, schedule, performance & risk mitigation

-Drives execution of Engineering MRB & mitigates risk in a timely manner

-Lead, influence and motivate others, provides direction, removes barriers. Participates & Lead high impact teams

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

-Bachelor’s degree in engineering: Mechanical, Aerospace, or other Technical Discipline

-10 years’ experience on aircraft engine components

-Knowledge of Material Review Board Processes.

-MRB Certification

-Class 2 Design Change experience.
