Job Summary
The Infrastructure Engineer I is responsible for engineering, systems analysis, technical support, and technology integration services for all aspects of Azure cloud, data center, server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure. This role requires participation in the on-call rotation and active involvement in team initiatives while simultaneously managing multiple IT project implementations. The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures and is capable of working without direct supervision.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Analyze and optimize infrastructure components for maximum performance, ensuring systems meet evolving business needs and deliver high availability.
Lead initiatives for process optimization, identifying opportunities to enhance infrastructure performance, operational efficiency, and system reliability.
Implement and assist in the design of enterprise-level disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity in the event of a failure. Additionally, maintain and help develop data backup strategies to safeguard data integrity.
Contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing management of private and public cloud environments, including servers, Active Directory, email systems, SAN/NAS storage, and Azure platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, and security standards.
Implement and integrate advanced public and cloud technologies to enhance the organization's IT infrastructure.
Proactively identify and resolve complex, high-impact infrastructure challenges. Additionally, provide on-call support as required to ensure timely resolution of critical after hour issues.
Oversee the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of virtualization technologies to enhance infrastructure flexibility, efficiency, and performance.
Utilize Powershell scripting to automate system management tasks, optimize infrastructure workflows, and enhance operational efficiency.
Participate in the design and implementation of proactive infrastructure monitoring and management tools, ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of critical systems.
Perform additional duties as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to evolving business requirements.

Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in deploying and supporting Azure cloud computing, as well as enterprise-class infrastructure
Experience with Microsoft Infrastructure-related products, Azure IaaS, storage, server O/S, AD, DNS, Certs, O365, VMware, and Exchange.
Required Licensing, Registration and/or Certifications
- Microsoft system certifications on current client-level or identity administration technologies preferred.
Required Skills/Knowledge
Demonstrates clear and professional written and verbal communication skills to explain problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficient in analyzing technical configurations, operating environments, security, networks, and metrics to ensure stability, responsiveness, and efficiency.
Be able to provide second-level technical support involving in-depth troubleshooting and time-intensive problem-solving for complex issues that first-level support cannot resolve.
Experience with interacting with customers and representing IT to the business.
Shows flexibility and adaptability with new systems and technologies, able to shift priorities and focus in a fast-paced environment.
Exhibits attention to detail by ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in their work, leading to high-quality, error-free results.
Collaborates effectively with others and thrives in a Team setting.
Windows Server OS: Experience with the following operating systems. - 2012 to 2022.
Azure Administration: Competency with Azure cloud-based Microsoft administration. IaaS, cost analysis, reservations, and Intune.
Active Directory: Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Entra ID.
Unified Communications – Experience with MS Teams and having a high-level understanding of SBCs and SIP trunks.
Environment Monitoring: Familiarity with monitoring tools like SCOM, Azure Monitor, and SolarWinds.
Data Center Technologies: Experience with VMware, Exchange, SANs, Dell, Cisco UCS.
Backup and Recovery: Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions such as Azure Site Recovery and Cohesity.
Scripting: Experience with PowerShell, including the ability to read and execute scripts to automate repetitive tasks and manage systems.
Linux: Linux experience is a plus but not required.
ITSM and Change Management: Understanding of ITSM, change control, and case management
Documentation: Experience in documenting solutions and processes, including knowledge articles, disaster recovery documents, and change management documentation.
Provide engineering and technology integration services and technical support for infrastructure aspects of computer, voice, video, and networking systems.
Additional Information:
This position will be hybrid with 3 days in office per week.
