Shipping Support Specialist in Tempe

Job Description
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be sitting in our Tempe, AZ office and working in a Call Center environment . You will support thousands of drivers across the country using two-way audio and video communication. You will verify necessary specifications on trucks, coordinate and communicate updates daily, and assist with arrivals, loading, unloading, and departures at warehouses, facilities, and distribution centers. This role requires extreme attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong technical skills.
Responsibilities
Support drivers using two-way audio and video communication
Verify and identify necessary specifications on trucks and trailers
Coordinate and communicate updates with all parties involved in warehouse and distribution center operations
Manage gate operations to allow onsite associates to focus on their tasks
Communicate clearly with approximately 160 drivers daily via phone calls at our call center in Tempe, AZ
Essential Skills
Customer service experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong phone etiquette
Very fast-paced environment -- expectations is 160+ calls per day
Great customer skills and awareness
Excellent communication and people skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
One year or more of high-volume customer support experience (call center preferred)
Experience in retail customer service
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and strong problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects
Quick learning capability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
Training will be conducted on-site for 3 weeks on Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The employee will transition on their 3rd or 4th week to their shift pattern. The post-training schedule requires flexibility to work 5 days a week, including weekends, with mandatory over-time from October through January due to the holiday season (up to 60 hours per week). The regular hours range from 6am - 6pm, 8-hour shifts. The position is onsite with no work from home or hybrid options. Candidates must be open to working holidays and variable shift patterns including weekends.
