As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in driving operational efficiency, cost savings and product quality within the Global Repair and Overhaul Engineering (GROE) team.

In this role as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer/Site Repair Development Engineer, you will be responsible for providing mechanical aftermarket product design knowledge and experience relating to Mechanical System and Components (MS&C) products. You will lead novel, Bigger, Bolder, Faster and Make it Happen engineering projects relating to Productivity, Cost takeout, Value Engineering and Work scope standardization programs to ensure that business objectives are achieved through Product Design improvements that ultimately help ship products with the utmost quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product focused and add value by changing the current design to support business objectives

  • Ensure a disciplined and data driven approach is utilized for technical decisions

  • Support GROE productivity goals utilizing the Value Creation Process

  • Drive GROE material savings financial acumen to ensure productivity compliance

  • Develop innovative repair designs to restore Aftermarket parts and alleviate shortages

  • Operate as a team member in Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma and Honeywell Operating System (HOS)

  • Establish a technical interface between Honeywell customer support representatives and customers

  • Partner with our customers to identify and execute actions to drives future growth opportunities

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

  • 4+ years of related engineering experience (electrical, mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing or process)

WE VALUE

  • Technical understanding and physical expertise with the assembly/testing of designed pneumatic related products is of value

  • DFSS Green Belt Certification is of value

  • Driving continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives

  • Comfortable interacting with internal/external customers

  • Ability to work independently

  • Eagerness to get involved in hands-on work

  • SAP experience
